The boys' varsity soccer team played its final regular-season game on the road tonight against #9 HSE. The Greyhounds took the lead late in the first half when seniors Quinn Wu and Curtis Droste set up a beautiful free-kick play. Droste ran over the ball, and Wu played a nicely weighted ball into Droste's path, and he hit a rocket into the far post to make the score 1-0. The score remained the same at halftime. The second half was a hard-fought, tournament-style game that did not see any more goals scored. Junior Gray Morgan recorded his 10th shutout of the season. The #6 Hounds left HSE with a win in their final regular season game, rounding out their record at 11-1-3. The Greyhounds return to action on Monday, October 6th, in the IHSAA sectional versus North Central with a scheduled kickoff of 5:30. All sectional games are being played at Noblesville.
