Greyhounds Win Brownsburg Invitational

The Carmel Girls Cross Country team continued their winning ways at the Brownsburg Invitational on 9/6/25 by taking first place in the 25 team and 247 runner field. The team's top 5 scorers placed 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 7th, and 17th overall for a low total of 33 points. Second place was North Central with 100 points. Top finishers for Carmel were Annabel Pollert-Jr.(2nd place), Larkin Taylor-Jr.(3rd), Sadie Foley-Sr.(4th), Margo Halle-So.(7th), and Kaitlyn Oshimura-Sr.(17th). Other varsity performers for the team were Anna Yoon-Jr., Elise Maurer-So., Ashley Kent-Fr., Maddie Cox-Sr., Maija Gilhooly-Jr., Arden Finley-Sr., and Lilliana Cate-Sr. This was the team's 3rd straight win this season. In the JV Race, Ellie Smith-Jr. was the overall winner of the race. Following Ellie, Carmel took the next 12 spots to achieve a perfect score of 15 in the 25 team race. Molly Foley-Fr.(2nd place), Kalinda Lee-So.(3rd), Katie Zhuravlev-So.(4th), Izzie Shin-So.(5th), Annabelle Inman-Jr.(6th), and Caroline Maurer-Fr.(7th) were the scoring contingent for the Greyhounds. Next up for the Hounds is the Eagle Classic at Brown County State Park on 9/13/2025.
