The boys' varsity soccer team played their third game in a row in the lovely confines of Murray Stadium tonight with a victory over the #12 Cathedral Irish. The Hounds scored first when sophomore Mikey Kubek tossed a long throw-in into the box, and senior Xander Dora hit a beautiful first-time ball into the back of the net. The Greyhounds scored again when junior Max Housholder laid the ball off to senior Owen Price, who hit an absolute highlight reel goal from distance. The Irish were able to capitalize on a dead ball served into the box right at the end of the first half to make the score 2-1 at halftime. The second half was a stalemate, with both teams creating opportunities, but neither adding to their halftime totals. With the full-time score in favor of the Hounds, 2-1. The #7 Greyhounds return to action on Tuesday, September 2nd, vs #13 Center Grove.
