The boys' varsity soccer team returned to the pitch at Murray Stadium for a home match against Greenfield-Central this evening. The Hounds controlled much of the play in the first half, but were unable to find the back of the net, and the half ended scoreless. The second half saw the Greyhounds continue to control the majority of play and were eventually able to connect. Senior Troy Enslin played a beautiful ball across the front of the goal where sophomore Jet Truitt's one-touch finish put the Hounds up 1-0. Junior Mikey Kubek made runs up and down the pitch all game and was rewarded with two laser beam goals to record the brace. His first goal was assisted by senior Xander Dora, with the second from senior Quinn Wu. Junior Gray Morgan posted the shutout on the night. The win tonight moves the team's record to 3-0-0 on the season with a ranking of #7 in the latest ISCA poll. The Hounds return to action Thursday evening, August 28th, against #12 Cathedral.
