Girls Lacrosse moved to 7-2 with their win over Zionsville on Thursday evening. It was a back and forth game that had a lot of scoring, but in the end the Hounds were able to hold off the Eagles. Carmel was led by Senior Elle Tomalia, who had six goals, an assist, 3 ground balls, and four draw controls. Sophie Mock added five goals, one assist, and Senior Breckin Hare netted four and had an assist for the Greyhounds. Avery Goehl had 1 G, 1A, Norah Rafferty, Riley Putnam, and Junior Ellie Espey added a goal. On defense, Junior Sophie Grotjan had two ground balls and Junior Jackie Mabry had a caused turnover and a ground ball. Carmel returns to action on Saturday when they travel to take on the defending State Champions in Ohio, Olentangy Liberty.
