The boys' soccer team finished its regular season on a high note, securing a 1-0 home win over Hamilton Southeastern in a closely contested match. After a competitive, hard-fought first half, the teams went into the halftime tied 0-0. The game's only goal came midway through the second half off a set piece. Sophomore Sebastien Shunk sent a well-placed free kick into the box, where sophomore Griffin Gollnick connected with a header that went through the keeper's legs and into the net. The Hounds' defense held firm through the final whistle to preserve the clean sheet. Senior goalkeeper Gray Morgan was strong in the net, keeping Hamilton Southeastern off the board. The Greyhounds now move on to postseason play. They play MIC rival Pike in the first round of Sectionals on Tuesday, October 6th at Murray Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:45 PM.
