After years away from the Metroplitan Interscholastic Conference, the Carmel Greyhounds rejoined to claim both a TEAM and individual win. Placing 7 runners in the top 10, the Hounds scored only 23 points to outdistance 2nd place Center Grove with 56. Senior Larkin Taylor set course record of 18:09.3 to win by :10. Taylor lead from start to finish and her teammates were close by. Freshman Olivia Ruch continued her successful season by placing 3rd in 18:40 to earn All-MIC Honors. Behind her were 5 other All-MIC honorees: Margo Halle(Jr.)-4th, Jade Gaczkowski(So.)-7th, Riley Myers(Jr.)-8th, Elise Maurer(Jr.)-9th, and Anna Yoon(Sr.)-10th. This was the TEAM'S 4th straight win as they head into the prestigious Nike Twi-light meet this weekend in Terre Haute where they are the 2 time defending champions. In the JV race, the Greyhounds had a perfect winning score of 15 while they claimed the top 13 spots in the race. Junior Katie Zhruravlev ran a person best time of 19:47 to win. Her time would have been 8th in the varsity race. The other scorers for the Hounds were Berkley Taylor(Fr.)-2nd, Annabelle Inman(Sr.)-3rd, Izzie Shin(Jr.)2-4th, Emma Meisner(Sr.)-5th, Kalinda Lee(Jr.)-6th, and Molly Foley(So.)-7th.
