In a match rescheduled from August due to weather, the Greyhounds boys soccer team picked up a 1-0 MIC victory over Pike High School. The Hounds controlled much of the action early on, creating several solid scoring chances in the first half. However, the Greyhounds were unable to convert, leaving the game scoreless at halftime. The difference came midway through the second half. Senior AJ Doria intercepted a Pike pass near midfield, drove forward into the attack, and struck a shot into the far post and in for the game’s only goal. The defense made the lead stand, with senior goalkeeper Gray Morgan earning the shutout. The Greyhounds return to action on Tuesday when they travel to face Lawrence North in another conference match.
