The Carmel boys’ soccer team returned to action on the road tonight, dropping a tight 2–1 decision to Fishers. The Tigers struck first, capitalizing on a mid-first-half counterattack to take an early 1–0 lead. Carmel responded late in the half. With just two minutes remaining before the break, junior Team Devoe created space with an impressive individual run, serving a crisp cross into the box. Fellow junior Sid Kashyap met the ball with a beautiful header to level the match at 1–1 heading into halftime. The Greyhounds carried that momentum into the second half, asserting control early. Carmel created multiple scoring opportunities with several dangerous balls across the box, but couldn't find the finishing touch. Fishers reclaimed the lead late in the match, heading home a long-distance free kick to make it 2–1. The Greyhounds pressured relentlessly over the final eight minutes, keeping the ball in their attacking third, but the Tigers held firm to preserve the win. The Hounds get right back on the road this Saturday as they travel to Pike to make up for their storm-canceled match from August.
