Carmel Boys Volleyball continued its strong run with a straight-set victory over Guerin Catholic (25-18, 25-16, 25-21), extending its winning streak to five matches and are now 13-3 on the season. The Greyhounds controlled the match throughout, using balanced offense and consistent execution to keep Guerin Catholic from gaining momentum. Carmel dictated tempo from the start, closing out each set with confidence. Offensively, Eli Philistin-Lynch led the way with 10 kills, continuing his steady production during the team’s winning stretch. Ian Czarnecki delivered an efficient performance, finishing with 8 kills on 14 swings while hitting an impressive .571, providing a strong presence on the pin. Jack Kovac and Thomas Kuehl each added 7 kills, contributing to a well-balanced attack that kept the defense guessing throughout the night. At setter, Shep Spidel orchestrated the offense with 39 assists, keeping hitters in rhythm and allowing Carmel to operate efficiently across all rotations. Defensively, Brice Hagaman led the back row with 10 digs, helping anchor a steady defensive effort. With the win, Carmel continues to build momentum heading into a competitive weekend. The Greyhounds will travel to the Midwest Battle hosted at Fishers High School, where they will face Southport and Homestead on Friday evening.
