Carmel edges County Rival Westfield in Sweep

By Andrew Fuller | Apr 15, 2026 12:39 AM

In front of a packed crowd on Pack the House Night and Alumni Night, Carmel Boys Volleyball delivered a dominant performance, sweeping Westfield (25-17, 25-18, 25-13). With former players back in the building and a high-energy atmosphere throughout the Eric Clark Activity Center, the Greyhounds rose to the moment, controlling the match from start to finish. Carmel’s consistency and efficiency never allowed Westfield to gain momentum, as the Hounds dictated play in all three sets. Eli Philistin-Lynch and Jack Kovac led the offense with 9 kills apiece, providing a balanced and steady attack at the net. The night was highlighted by a major milestone for Thomas Kuehl, who recorded his 500th career kill, a testament to his consistency and impact within the program. Fittingly, the moment came in front of a strong home crowd and returning alumni, connecting past and present success of Carmel Volleyball. The Greyhounds continue to build momentum as they climb the ladder of state success, showing growth, depth, and the ability to perform in big moments. Carmel returns to action on April 15th, when they host Guerin Catholic.
