Carmel Girls Track & Field Captures 4th Straight Hoosier State Relays Championship

Carmel Girls Track & Field continued its championship run Saturday, scoring 63.5 points to win the Hoosier State Relays Large School title for the fourth year in a row. The Greyhounds delivered a complete team effort against one of the state’s strongest fields, piling up points in the distance events, relays, and field events. The day featured three new Carmel indoor school records. Annabel Pollert placed second in the 3200-meter run in 10:28.63, then returned to help the 4x800 relay team of Pollert, Sadie Foley, Kaitlyn Oshimura, and Larkin Taylor win in a meet-record 9:01.92. Carmel also set another school indoor record in the distance medley relay, where Larkin Taylor, Gaby Grande Rosas, Kaitlyn Oshimura, and Sadie Foley placed second in 11:56.95. Carmel also scored in the sprints and field events. The Greyhounds took sixth in the 4x200 relay, where Livi Miller, Kalinda Lee, Jenna Harris, and Gabriela Grande Rosas ran 1:43.83. Carmel added a third-place finish in the 4x400 relay, with Livi Miller, Molly Foley, Sadie Foley, and Gaby Grande Rosas clocking 3:58.00. In the field events, Livi Miller placed seventh in the pole vault, while Amyla Holder added to the team effort in the shot put.
