Varsity vs Culver Academies (7 - 8) OT Carmel Varsity nearly pulled off a monumental upset but fell to Top-Ranked Culver Prep , 8-7, in overtime. Carmel struck first and controlled much of the game, riding a balanced offense and creating defensive pressure. Luke Shrift led with three goals. Warrend added two, Ike Stitle and Evan Coulter chipped in one each. The story of the game was Carmel's defense holding Culver Prep's offense in check. Will Bates was sensational, piling up 21 saves. Nick Anderson held Riley Woods, the nation's top 2027 recruit, to one goal. The defensive midfield unit led by Cohen Odle, Aaron Fedorcha were outstanding in transition. Eli Chapa was called into an emergency long stick midfield role to cover for an injury. The Scoreboard didn't go Carmel's way, the performance proved this team can compete with the nation's best. With a strong defensive backbone and balanced scoring, Carmel heads into the ret of the season full of confidence.
