Jonni Parker has been named as the new head coach of Carmel Girls Volleyball. Jonni coaches at Munciana where she also serves as the Director of Operations for the club. She had an outstanding playing career both in high school and college. Jonni was selected as a high school All-American and named the 2018 Ohio Gatorade Player of the Year. At Penn State, she was a 4-time All-American with the perennial powerhouse Nittany Lions. At Penn State, she served as a member of the Athletic Director's Leadership Institute. Jonni was honored as Academic All-Big Ten. Her most impressive accomplishment, however, was receiving the Big Ten Medal of Honor for excellence on and off the court at Penn State. Coach Parker started a non-profit organization while in college to raise awareness and generate funds for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community. An introductory meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 8 at 7:30 pm at Carmel High School in Greyhound Station. Please park at the Murray Stadium Soccer/Lacrosse field lot and enter Door 17 (fieldhouse) to access Greyhound Station. There are many activities and meeting that evening in the building so this should give you the least stress for finding a parking spot. Enter at the trail entrance along Smoky Row Road. The summer training schedule and expectations will be discussed at that time. We look forward to the next chapter of Greyhound Volleyball and the great experiences that await your student-athlete. Please welcome Jonni Parker to our Greyhound Family!
